Big Purchases!
My astrology website says it's good for me to make any decisions, especially money related ones as soon as possible. So over this weekend I made three big fat assed purchase.
1. I bought a mattress. A real one.
I've been sleeping on a futon mattress with memory foam top. Wasn't good enough though.
So I went to the mall - don't I hate mall...! - and checked out Sleep Number Bed and asked if I qualify for 12 months no interest deal.
I left the store with a receipt.
I already emailed to a couple of friends a couple days ago asking if they know anyone who is interested in decent used futon mattress. A friend of mine has BIL who is looking for. Smooth transition...
2. I bought a lens for my gig in Colorado.
I drove to a camera shop right after the mattress purchase. I was eying on Tamron 17-50 because it has decent zoom with wide angle which I love and need. I read great reviews and saw pictures taken with it.
Now I need to carry my camera so that I can get used to it.
3. I made a reservation for 3 nights of B&B in Moab, Utah.
Yes, it's expensive, but I'm not a camping person at all. This means I have no experience with camping except once with my ex bf.
I am very very excited to pass out in a very comfortable room after each adventurous day...
So this morning I was iChatting with my friend, Mark who lives in Bankok. He is a fabulous photographer and works for diageo.
He will visit home for a greek wedding gig. The groom is loaded and is flying him in/out. What a big fat greek wedding, huh? :)
So Mark needs an assistant and asked my availability. It conflicts with Rothbury Festival partially, but I can always sell it. This way I get to make some more cash AND learn many things about event photography from a professional.
Summer of 2008, you excite me!
Meanwhile May, you have really strange weather. You behave like your are late October.
Don't BS on us... Give us more warmth!

I just assembled the mattress. If a future mama loves it, there's no way to go wrong with it... ! :)
@ Red Pen,
I wouldn't say camping is overrated, but it's just not my kinda thing...
Well, I never tried private camping in hot summer. Maybe someday I can try that and see if I would change my opinion on that?... :)
